SPECIAL ADVENTURE CAMP FOR SCHOOL/COLLEGE STUDENTS

FOR OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Camp Craft offers 3-7 days adventure courses for students of schools and colleges, wherein well trained professional trainers train the students to become well versed in outdoor skills. In this specialized course, students are taught basics of Rock Climbing and Rappelling, Hiking, Jungle Trek with overnight stay in Jungle Camp, basics of Jungle survival skills, map reading and navigation, how to prepare improvised shelters, basics of knots and hitches, flora and fauna of the area etc.

ACTIVITIES AT CAMP CRAFT

One should do and experience all the thrilling things in his life, which he has dreamt of. At camp craft, you can fulfill all your dreams as the Camp offers you number of activities and action packed adventure. Guests can enjoy thrilling activities like River/Valley Crossing, Flying Fox, Burma Bridge, Bamboo Bridge, Parallel Rope Crossing, Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Commando Rappelling, Hiking, Jungle Trekking, Local Village Trip, Jungle Camping and many more.

BURMA BRIDGE

The Burma Bridge structure has two parallel ropes-one above the other-strung from poles/trees, at a height of 15 feet. Participants are divided into teams.

The participants are secured with harnesses and the guiding/belay ropes are normally handled by instructors.

ROCK CLIMBING

The Himalayas offer unlimited opportunities for rock climbing. The Camp craft has one of the best locations in the area, which provide rock climbing experiences under professional guidance, where safety is the prime concern. A team of well trained and experienced instructors equipped with essential and UIAA certified equipments and tools ensure that the climbing and rappelling experience is thrilling and safe. Basic climbing techniques, such as use of anchoring and belaying, ascending and descending techniques, use of Jummar, rope fixing etc. are taught by the instructors.

TREKKING

There can be no better way to witness the imperial beauty of mountains than to trek through the scene. Trekking on mountain trails gives one, a chance to pause and enjoy the small flowers, the quiet hush, the stillness and solitude. It is also a good physical exercise that builds self-confidence, resilience, discipline and endurance. Trekking promotes team building and leadership skills also.

YOGA & MEDITATION

The ‘far from the madding crowd’ environs of Campcraft are perfect for inducing a sense of peace and rejuvenation in the heart, mind and body. This experience can be intensified with the practice of Yoga and Meditation that are proven to be stress busting activities which rejuvenate the mind and spirit as well as the body. The absolute tranquility and natural beauty of Camp Craft is conducive to yoga and meditation and guests can enjoy transports of happiness through these experiences.

RAPPLING

A controlled descent down a rock face is technically known as rappelling. A highly adventurous and thrilling skill that is also very useful while quickly descending from rock face. Rappelling, as a technique, finds wide spread usage in police, rescue and military work. The rappler controls the rate and speed of his decent and there are many ideal locations near Camp craft where this sport can be practiced under the expert supervision of trainers and instructors.

VALLEY/RIVER CROSSING

This is a highly thrilling but comparatively low risk action that is ideally suited to initiate a novice into adventure sports. A pair of rope is suspended between two high points across a raging mountain stream or river or valley and the participant is positioned onto sound harness which is parallel to the ground and attached to a pulley that slides across the river. Camp craft provides this activity under trained instructors and at perfect locations.

ZIP LINING/FLYING FOX

This safe activity promises a high degree of thrill and one can imagine the pure joy and sense of excitement as one hurtles across rocky ground, suspended by a sturdy hemp or metal rope. Camp craft has identified locations where this sport can be experienced under guidance.

ROPE WALK

Walking over the rope could be little challenging at a high attitude, but an exciting and life-risking experience at the same time. Balancing on the rope is very much important while performing this task.

ARCHERY AND SHOOTING

Take aim and shoot straight. In the salubrious surroundings at Camp craft, one feels as valorous and winsome as a warrior of olden times. There’s no better way to let loose the marksman or woman in you than to let fly at a top class archery/shooting practice session that will form a life time memory.

# Camp Craft organizes 2 nights 3 days, 3 nights 4 days and 4 nights 5 days Adventure Camps for families/friends/students/colleges/schools/NGO’s/MNC’s etc. Depending upon the duration, the Adventure Camp includes all meals during the stay, snacks, soups, bon fire/music/dance, all adventure activities, indoor and outdoor games, village trek with one meal in villager’s home, rock climbing and rappelling and a special jungle trek with overnight stay in jungle camp.

# Basic and Advance Rock Climbing and Rappelling Course
Camp Craft organizes 4 night 5 days Basic Course and a 4 night 5 days Advance rock climbing and rappelling certificate courses. These courses are conducted by experienced and professional instructors, wherein Basic and Advance techniques of rock climbing and rappelling, rope courses/knots and hitches are taught, on different kind of rocks, situated around the camp. Only those trainees are eligible for Advance Rock climbing course, who have successfully completed basic rock climbing course from Camp Craft. The equipments used to impart training are of very high quality and are UIAA certified.

# Jungle/Wilderness Survival Course
This is a special 4 nights 5 days certificate course, wherein techniques of jungle survival are taught by professional and experienced instructors. The course includes theory as well as practical classes on basics of wilderness first aid/sanitation, map reading and navigation, orienteering, basics of handling wilderness disasters, making of improvised shelters, countering animal/insect attacks etc. with one night two days jungle stay experience.

# SPECIAL ADVENTURE CAMPS
The Camp Craft organizes special Adventure Camps (in the months of May, June and October every year) for children of the age group 9 years up to 18 years. The camp is a multi activity camp, which includes activities/theory/practical sessions on tent pitching and camp sanitation, physical training (PT), Yoga and meditation classes, trekking and hiking with over night stay in jungle/camps, back-packing, local village trip, rope course, rock climbing, rappelling, team building activities/games, activities which develop fearlessness and leadership skills, wilderness craft, basics of first aid, disaster management, wilderness navigation and map-reading, star gazing, activities at camp viz. ladder and rope climbing, jumarring, net climbing, ladder bridge crossing, parallel rope crossing, burma bridge, valley crossing, flying fox, shooting and archery, fun filled evenings, singing, dancing, bon-fire etc., After this camp, a participation certificate along with detailed performance report of the child and a CD containing his/her/group’s pictures and videos is provided.
